The Work Within: How IOP Opened My Mind and Heart

My name is Christopher Herrera, and I’m currently at Steelbridge. What I’ve taken away from IOP is discovering who I truly am and recognizing the parts of myself I need to work on. IOP helps bring those things to light, helping me understand that the real work is internal—it’s right here in my mind and heart.

As someone who has struggled with addiction for several years, I’ve learned that self-awareness is key. IOP has shown me the importance of being honest with myself and facing realities I might have ignored before. It has opened my mind and heart to receive what I need to overcome what holds me back.

I realize now that I am the one who held myself in addiction—but IOP has helped me see that, work through it, and grow. I am deeply grateful for this program and the support it provides.
