Michelle, Women’s Program Manager Testimony
My name is Michelle Barr, and I serve as the Women’s Program Manager at Steelbridge. I was raised in a loving but complicated family shaped by both stability and addiction, losing my father at a young age and later being cared for by my grandparents, whose love grounded me. After my grandfather passed, addiction took hold of my life and led me through years of substance use, incarceration, and deep brokenness. Yet even in those darkest seasons, God was present, patiently allowing me to reach the end of myself so He could rebuild me. Through many failed attempts, I eventually found healing and purpose at the Phoenix Dream Center, where I discovered that serving others brought me more peace than anything else ever had. God then led me to New Mexico and to Steelbridge, where I now see His hand woven through every chapter of my life redeeming my past, restoring my heart, and even renewing relationships with my family. Today, my life and work are fully surrendered to the Lord, and it is an honor to serve and reflect His grace at Steelbridge.
