I have many blessing by Joseph

When I was a child, I was in and out of foster care and my entire family was on drugs. They did everything from meth, weed, alcohol, and heroin, and I followed in their footsteps. It eventually got so bad that I was shooting heroin mixed with meth.

I had two daughters later in life and for a while I was clean. But somewhere along the line, I decided to be selfish and I left my daughters with their mother in Florida and moved back to New Mexico. I got back on drugs, which was probably why I left Florida, to be able to get high. I left Florida when my daughters were still babies and I haven’t seen them in almost five years. I am currently on probation for getting caught with a stolen gun and I was even looking at some prison time. But while in jail I picked up my bible and prayed to be able to go to rehab instead of prison. I was calling every rehab I could, but none of them answered. A week before my court date, I called Steelbridge Ministries. I spoke to one of the men’s directors and he told me all about the program and later sent me a letter of acceptance.

I know I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my Lord Jesus Christ. I am currently two months sober; I have forgiven my mother and now have a relationship with her, and I’m also in the process of getting back to my daughters. Steelbridge has been nothing but helpful; teaching me how to become a good father and how to handle my emotions, along with how to put Jesus first in my life and so much more.

I would recommend Steelbridge if you or someone you know needs help; that you come by here or bring that someone you know through Steelbridge to meet the great group of guys here. Who, as the Lord, are all responsible for the many blessings that I have received thus far.

Thank you for taking the time to read my testimony. God bless you and your family.
