From the depths of addiction 

The streets and a prison 

Homeless and hopeless  

Alive but not living 

My hope seemed Hopeless 

My light lost Vision 

Lost in the darkness 

My mind had been twisted 

God gave me a way 

From the deep I was lifted 

He gave me a light 

God gave me a vision 

Away with the drugs 

I’m done with pretending 

Awake with your Spirit 

A way to be driven 

A motive for God 

A life that shows difference 

A place I can stand 

The plan of commitment 

With ears that will listen 

God has my attention 

I’m a soldier for you  

I will live for your business 

With faith I will be  

A part of your mission 

Every word, Every way 

I will serve a life sentence
