She was a talented business woman. Her kids were grown and successful. Yet here she was, depressed and feeling lost and useless.
“I couldn’t get off the couch” she remembers “I wanted God to use my life but I felt like my time had past.”
One day at her church, she heard Steelbridge talk about their work rescuing and restoring Albuquerque’s homeless. After the service, she spoke to the staff and offered to volunteer a few hours per week.
Before long, she was using her marketing and communications skills to oversee a fundraising project at Steelbridge. The project ended up raising over $20,000 to support the work of Steelbridge.
TEARS WERE STREAMING DOWN HER CHEEKS “I FOUND MY PURPOSE AGAIN.”
After the project, with tears streaming down her cheeks, she expressed gratitude about her experience volunteering at Steelbridge.
She found her purpose again. She made new friends, including men and women who were once homeless.
Maybe you’re feeling restless and like something is missing. You want God to use your life to make a real difference in the world.
